When you find yourself in the middle of a storm, there’s something reassuring in hearing about said storm from someone else who can see it. Kaitlyn was always the type of person who could place themselves in the eye while remaining objective, and no matter how crazy things got, could locate a way forward. It’s not always stormy, though: our discussions have grown upon shared experiences and been nourished by new ones over time, sparking numerous ideas and meandering down unexplored paths. We go where our minds lead us.
If you work with Kaitlyn, be prepared to come out of it with an evolving perspective of your own thoughts, and be curious about your unique human experience.
The most striking impression I had while working with Kaitlyn is her professionalism and exceptional collaboration skills, especially under high-pressure and ambiguous situations. In environments where differing opinions often lead to tension or conflict, Kaitlyn consistently stood out with a strong work ethic and calm presence. Among all the colleagues I’ve worked with, her ability to remain composed and focused is rare, she’s truly a unicorn in the workplace. In times of rapid change, both in life and work, I often turn to Kaitlyn when I’m overwhelmed by mental pressure or trapped in cycles of self-doubt. She’s not only a great listener but also someone who genuinely relates to what I’m going through.
Her empathy is extraordinary, especially in a world where everyone seems to be carrying their own burdens. Yet, she still shows up with compassion and presence.
Talking to Kaitlyn feels like finding a lighthouse in the middle of a dark sea, offering clarity, warmth, and direction when you need it most. She reminds me of the wise character in a video game who gives just the right advice to help you move to the next level. It’s inspiring and comforting all at once, because you know she truly cares. For anyone who has the opportunity to work with Kaitlyn, I encourage you to bring an open heart and not be afraid of vulnerability.
Often, what feels like your weakness may actually hold the key to the solution you’re seeking, and Kaitlyn is someone who helps you see that.
I met Kaitlyn through a mentor program years ago. We had such great conversations about school, work, and life, that we have remained great friends. I have trusted Kaitlyn with my most guarded insecurities. She listens. She remembers names. She digests what you say and provides effective, sometimes necessarily soft, feedback, if you solicit it from her. She speaks honestly and cohesively from her heart. I was a middle-aged engineering student with industry experience, trying to complete my degree and Kaitlyn boosted my morale when the days were rough.
She reminded me of my strength when I myself had forgotten. If everyone had a Kaitlyn in their life, the world would be a better place.
